A little about me

Mark Sobrevinas

My name is Mark Sobrevinas and I’ve been cooking for 20+ years, I’ve always had a passion for cooking watching my dad in the kitchen as a young kid. I’ve worked in many different aspects of the culinary industry, from hotels to golf courses to franchise restaurants to one of a kind restaurants here in Winnipeg.

I teach cooking classes to my community, as well as work as an instructor for Mtec teaching intro to line cooking and volunteer my time for local fundraising foundations here in Winnipeg. The one thing that got me when I first started cooking was the feeling of getting slammed during service and getting through it working together with a team that all had the same motivation of putting out amazing food!

My inspiration for my dinner is that I wanted to re-create all of my favourite childhood food memories growing up and adding the techniques I’ve learnt through my years working in the industry.
